North Pole Express

Come in your pajamas and robes for a ride on this evening express. Our Hocking Valley version of Tom Hanks and his helpers will make your ride memorable. After the ride, you'll follow the conductor to North Pole Nelsonville for a visit with Santa.

The train ride is scheduled to depart the Nelsonville depot at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 5, 12, 19, and Friday, December 18, 2009.

The ride last approximately 1 1/2 hours and goes to East Logan before returning to the depot. Your ride includes hot chocolate and cookies and a special gift for each child. After the ride, follow the conductor across the street to North Pole Nelsonville (sponsored by the City of Nelsonville) for a visit with Santa, a walk though North Pole Nelsonville and free skating is included in the train ride ticket. (Skate rental is $2 or bring your own skates.)

Reservations are highly recommended for this train.
Cost: Adults: $25, Seniors (60+) $20, Children (3-12) $17 (Under 3 yrs. old ride free but must sit on guardian's lap.)

TICKETS PURCHASED ONLINE WILL BE HELD AT THE DEPOT. Tickets MUST be picked 30 minutes prior to the departure time of the train. Any ticket order canceled less than 48 hours in advance will be charged a $10 fee.

Tickets may also be purchased in the depot. The depot opens two hours prior to departure of the first train.

Only the first class car has restrooms and air conditioning.
All coaches are heated for Fall Foliage and Santa Trains.
Food and non-alcoholic drinks are permitted on the ride but not served.
Smoking is not permitted on any part of train at any time.

The train runs regardless of the weather.
